Participant Agreement & Waiver
You'll confirm this when you register for an event
Tennis is a physical activity and our mixers bring strangers together, so a few ground rules protect everyone. By registering for or attending a love means something? event, you agree to the following.
01 Assumption of risk
I understand that tennis and related physical activity carry inherent risks — including slips, falls, strains, collisions, contact with balls or equipment, heat, and other injuries. I confirm I am physically able to participate, I am participating voluntarily and at my own risk, and I will play within my own limits.
02 Release of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, I release and hold harmless the Organizer and the Venue, and their staff, hosts, and volunteers, from any claims, demands, or liability for injury, loss, or damage arising out of my participation — except for harm caused by their gross negligence or willful misconduct. This does not waive any rights that cannot be waived under law.
03 Code of Conduct
I have read and agree to the Code of Conduct. I understand that violating it can result in being removed from the event without a refund and barred from future events, and that serious matters may be reported to venue security or law enforcement.
04 Photo & video
Photos or video may be taken at events. By attending, I allow the Organizer to use images in which I appear for promotional purposes. I can opt out at any time by telling a host at the event or emailing hello@lovemeanssomething.com, and they won't use new images of me going forward.
05 Health, alcohol & conduct
I will not attend impaired, and if alcohol is served I will drink responsibly. I will let a host know if I feel unwell. I understand I can step off the court or leave at any time.
06 Contact & privacy
My contact details are shared only when another attendee and I both opt in afterward, as described in the Privacy Policy.
07 General
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. I confirm I am at least 21 years old.
