Code of Conduct
The short version of how we keep every night good
We exist so people can meet over a game, not a screen — and that only works if everyone feels safe, respected, and free to be themselves. By joining a mixer, you agree to this. It's short on purpose.
01 Respect, first and always
Treat everyone — other players, hosts, and staff — with basic courtesy and warmth. Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or body has no place here.
02 Consent is everything
“No” — spoken or unspoken — ends it, immediately and without argument. Unwanted touching, sexual comments, or continued attention after someone has stepped back are not okay, full stop.
03 What's not okay — zero tolerance
- Harassment, threats, or intimidation of any kind
- Ignoring or pushing past a “no”
- Discriminatory, hateful, or demeaning language
- Outing anyone — sharing someone's identity, orientation, or contact info without their consent
- Photographing or filming anyone without their clear okay
- Arriving intoxicated, or drinking to the point of disruption
- Misrepresenting who you are — everyone registers with their real name
04 How we keep it safe
- Every attendee registers with their real name and photo and agrees to this code — no anonymous profiles, no walk-ins.
- Zack is there every night — playing, overseeing, and on hand for any question or concern.
- A discreet exit: find Zack, or quietly text the host number you're given at check-in, and we'll calmly rotate you away. No explanation needed.
- Contact info is shared only when you both opt in afterward — romantic, friends, or not at all.
05 Reporting & consequences
Tell any host in the moment, or email conduct@lovemeanssomething.com afterward. We take every report seriously and keep it confidential. Breaking these rules can mean being removed from the event with no refund and banned from future ones. Serious matters may be reported to venue security or law enforcement.
06 Everyone belongs
All orientations, relationship styles, ages (21+), and skill levels are welcome — beginners included. This is the desert. Come as you are.
