A Friday-night mixer where you actually share an interest. Choose who you want to meet, play doubles as double dates, and trade real questions at every changeover.

The idea

Doubles. As double dates.

Getting people out on a Friday is hard — unless they were heading out to meet someone anyway. So why not meet someone you already have something in common with?

You set your preferences and, the week of, see who's coming and flag a few people you'd actually like to meet. We only put you on court with people who fit what you're both looking for — call it matchmaking, squared. At every changeover, a card gives you something better to talk about than the weather.

No awkward bar small talk. Just a game, a shared interest, and a reason to keep playing.

How a match actually works

Four daters, one court. You team up with a match you chose and play another couple who chose each other — so you get to know your partner and the two across the net, who are on a date too.

Your preferences come first. We match you with and against people who fit what you're looking for and play near your level, so every court feels right. Your preferences are never shown to other players — they only shape who you're put on court with.

No one stands alone. If your match can't make it, you can fill in for another foursome that needs a fourth, or just jump in with whoever wants to play. Everyone who shows up plays.

It's a group date — everyone connects. Not a romantic match? Maybe a tennis one, or someone you'd set a friend up with.

How it works

Three steps, one Friday.

Pick a few people

No endless feed, no algorithm — the week of, you get a link to see who's coming and choose a few people you'd like to meet on court. You see them in person within days, not pen-pal limbo. (Just a web link — nothing to download.)

Play at your level

Tell us your tennis level at signup — never-played to league player — and we set up balanced, fun matchups. Beginners keep it casual and no-score. If you already rally and keep score (roughly NTRP 3.0 and up — NTRP is the standard tennis rating scale), you can play real points: a short set or a tiebreak each round.

Talk at the changeover

A changeover is just the short break when you swap sides — every couple of games, about every ten minutes. Each one, a question card turns the rally into a real conversation. Afterward you pick, privately, how you'd connect with each person — romantic, tennis & friends, or pass. See Safety.

Hydrate, snack, and play group question games if you're feeling it.

Up to 24 players a night across 6 courts, matched by your preferences and play level — so every pairing makes sense. You can step off at any point; nobody's trapped.

Find your people

Everyone's welcome on this court.

A band is an opener — never a yes. Always ask. Bands are optional: wear one, swap it, or take "just here to play." Who you're hoping to meet is never on your wrist.

Your matches come from your private preferences (a web link at signup — nothing to install) — so you never have to wear who-you're-into on your wrist. The visible bands below are about availability, and they're yours to choose, swap, or skip all night.

Handled privately at signup, so it shapes your matches without putting your orientation on display. Prefer a visible signal? It's an opt-in discreet charm, never a public billboard — whoever you're hoping to meet: women, men, nonbinary folks, or everyone. All orientations and relationship styles welcome, monogamous to poly-friendly.

Welcome is a vibe. This is the system.

Real names only

You register with your real name and a profile photo and agree to our Code of Conduct and waiver — no anonymous profiles, no walk-ins. (ID verification added as we grow.)

Zack hosts every mixer

There the whole night — overseeing, and on hand for any question or concern. There's always someone to find.

A discreet way out

Something's off? Find Zack, or quietly text the host number you're given at check-in, and we'll rotate you away — no scene. Harassment or ignoring a "no" means removed that night and not invited back.

Mutual opt-in, or nothing

After the night you choose how you'd connect with each person — romantic, tennis & friends, or pass. Last names and numbers are shared only when you both pick something mutual, never as a public ask at the net.

What's it cost?

$25 per person — court time and the question deck. Racket rental is $5 if you need one. Joining the waitlist is free with no commitment.

Never played?

You won't be alone. Beginners are grouped together and keep it casual — easy rallies, no score, no one watching. This is about meeting people, not your serve.

Already play seriously?

Tell us your level at signup (your NTRP rating if you have one — it just helps us set up balanced, fun matchups). Stronger players play real points — a short set or a tiebreak each round. You won't be carrying anyone.

Who's it for?

Singles 21 and up — every age, all orientations, all relationship styles. We match you with compatible people based on the preferences you set, so the night fits who you are.

What do I bring?

Proper non-marking tennis shoes (court shoes — not running shoes, which scuff the courts). Bring a racket or rent one for $5. CC Tennis Club, Cathedral City; free parking on site.

What if my match no‑shows?

No problem — fill in for another foursome that needs a fourth, or just jump in with whoever wants to play. Everyone who shows up gets on a court.
